Course Fees $3700

CE Credits Hours: Total 14 Hours

*7 hours per day (3 hrs Lecture - 4 hrs Participation)

Course Description (two-day hands-on course)

The Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) is a surgical and prosthetic technique established to broaden indications for immediate implant placement and loading to minimize both soft and hard tissue loss. It minimizes the treatment time and morbidity of reconstructive procedures. It advocates for minimally invasive and flapless surgery.

This course will emphasize the synergetic effect of IDR and Osseodensification treatment modalities.

(IDR) I Learning Objectives:

•   Scientific basis of the IDR technique

•  Indication and contra-indication

•  Step-by-Step technique for:

•  Immediate loading in intact sockets (IDR I)

•  Implant positioning in relation to alveolar buccal bone thickness

•  Use of the maxillary tuberosity as a donor site – tissue biology and surgical technique

•  Emergence profile design

•  Describe how to harvest an autogenous bone graft from maxillary tuberosity

•  IDR and Osseodensification

•  Complications and how to avoid them

•  Hands-on practical training utilizing simulation models

(IDR) II Learning Objectives:

•  Immediate loading in non-intact sockets

•  Learn the treatment of compromised post-extraction sockets

•  Understand the principles, bone biology, step-by-step technique and indications of Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) in complex cases

•  Apply the cortico-cancellous graft in the reconstruction of two or ore alveolar bone walls

•  Apply the triple graft in the reconstruction of hard and soft tissue damaged

•  Treat complex complications and to know how to avoid them
